Diagnosis in Integrative Medicine

Diagnosis is based primarily on a few things:

  1. Your chief complaint
  2. Observation
  3. Questioning
  4. Tongue
  5. Pulse
  6. Palpation

Some questions we may ask you:

  1. How has your energy level been, are you fatigued or over-excited?
  2. Are you having any congestion or allergies?
  3. Do you typically feel hot or cold?
  4. Any unusual sweating or thirst?
  5. How is your appetite, are you eating 3 meals a day?
  6. Any acid reflux, constipation, or diarrhea?
  7. Any painful or difficult urination, or other?
  8. Female: How is your period, heavy, light, or cramping?
  9. Male: State of prostate gland or any erectile dysfunction?
  10. How is your sleep, are you feeling rested in the morning?
  11. Feeling any Anxiety, depression, strong moods or emotion?
  12. Any pain anywhere, what is the quality, on a scale of 1 to 10 how intense is it?
