Integrative medicine* is the merging of Oriental Medicine and Western Medicine. Best of both worlds. We are trained in Western medicine at the level of a registered nurse, and licensed to practice Oriental medicine with focus on acupuncture, Tui-na, Qigong, and nutrition/herbs.
Even though there is a deep connection to the ancient past with Chinese medicine, in modern times it is progressing and become more acceptable alongside modern medicine as more laboratory and clinical research has been conducted with evidence based medicine studies. Health in Chinese medicine is defined as all organs functioning properly, so we concentrate on treatments if any of them show signs and symptoms of imbalance.
