Restoring True natureLosing self-nature and having ego leads to imbalance of 5 elements.
Yijin: mingmen: spiritual alchemy to nourish destiny,
Zhuangzi” “Comprehend great destiny, become a part of it, comprehend lesser destiny resigns to the inevitable”.
Yin and yang in harmony: pulse on left (yang/husband) will be stronger than right (yin/Wife)
KD3, KD7, BL67Kidney: governs our will to assert original nature in world and manifest destiny.
Liv4Liver: governs aspiration as we draw on and will and tap its potential to channel our resources toward heaven.
Fire governs opening heart flow, joy and illumination as light of depth (kidney fire) joins heaven light (heart fire).
Left hand : jing, Qi shen
right hand Digestive system
When wife follows husband, water and fire balance each other: Liu Yiming
Yin and yang separate as child and we forget true nature and abide in imagined self, off interpretations of life.
This causes cracks in the true self, constitution, and results in illness. False beliefs and interpretations.
H/W imbalance patients feel trapped in a situation that is harmful and appears outside their control.
Usually self-destructive tendencies: cut self, burn self, addictive behavior, harming self.
Return to the “root of life”  yuan qi, store it. Stabile metal and water, “coming to being” eventually eternal Dao.
KD7 is good for this.”beyond destiny” waiming point.

Exit and entry points of Ren and DuPrimordial Yin and Yang. Form an Axis that orients the 12 channels. Heaven and Earth poles.
Ren and Du: Need clear communication with Each other. Yin and yang.
Nature of Vessels: 8 Extraordinary8 vessels are a template with Physical Body and all functional mechanisms develop.
Embryogenesis: kidney and acquired (spleen) jing, our attempt to survie in an unlivable environment.
Sexual and physical abuse can lead to suppression, sexuality and intimacy.
Ren 1 and Du 1 are at sexual organs and anus. Sexual impulse
With a REN/DU block tonify root of yin and yang.
Ren: from ren1 to ren 24 on front surface and then down inner midline to Du1.
Du: from du1 up to GB28 and down inner midline to Ren1
Ren 1: Meeting of Yin. Infertility and sexual deficiencies. Golden gate to womb. Jing, Yin, and blood tonic.
Restores the self when mundane influences have extinguished the fires of evolution aka Kidney yang.
Ren 24: receiving fluid. Qi flows from this point down inner path to Du1, uniting with Stomach and large intestines on the way.

who they are. This can be a deep trauma like abuse, incest, sexually abused, abused by a spiritual teacher, betrayal.
Physical trauma, illness, bleeding during childhood, menopause.
Dang gui Buxu Tang: Tonify the blood formula good for this.
Caution on using Ren 1 in sexual area, may have to use woman with woman, or woman in room.
Female with Female, male with male due to sensitive nature of Ren1.
 TX: in this order: Ren1, Ren24, Du1, Du28. Other: Lu7/KD6 and SI3/BL62
Umbilical PulseHara defines physical center of the body and being. Umbilicus was our connection to our mother.
A healthy center empowers grace and balance through transitions in life,
Quality of Hara is strengthened by living a life with the type of integrity that nurtures and is nurtured by the earth element.
techniquepress gently with 4 fingers as patient exhales to feel the pulse. It should be felt under the umbilicus on center line.
You can massage it back to center if it is off to left or right.
Bu zhong yi qi tang: if patients’ pulse is frequently off balance.
Gui Pi tang as well when they are more on emotional side.
Umbilicus map: water North, south is fire. Right is wood, left is metal. (Think of facing south at head of patient).
This is first step in dealing with Akabane imbalances
AkaBane Imbalances12 meridians are bilateral in the body, the relative amount of qi on each side should be equivalent.
Resolve unilateral imbalances affecting the flow of qi in paired meridians.
External: injury that blocks the flow of qi in affected channel. Surgery, piercing, tattoos, anything that cuts or insults the channel.
Blow to body, bone break, subluxation of the spine can cause imbalance.
Internal: Gall Bladder throwing off multiple meridians.
Sx: One sided issues like sciatica, headaches, shoulder pain, knee pain, visual, trigeminal neuralgia
Tx: move incense across finger and toe well points and see how long it takes for them to feel warm. Take note.
Key:
Incense passes for each organHT: 4 passes
SI: 4
BL: 8
Kd: 5
PC: 3
TB: 3
Gb: 9
Liv: 5
Lu: 3
Li: 4
St: 8
SP: 5
If a left or rt. Side take longer to feel the heat on incense, then that one is deficient.
TX:ways of treating the deficient channel:
1. tonify luo point, deficient side
2. tonify yuan point on deficient side
3. tonify luo and yuan point deficient side
4. Moxa luo and yuan point deficient side
5. sedate luo and yuan points, but tonify luo and yuan point on deficient side
6. Tonify back shu point on deficient side
7. Sedate back shu point on excess side
8. if not working look for trauma area of body and treat that as well.
9. Consider deeper blocks like H/W, AE, possession, etc.

Treatmentmay have to use the umbilical pulse first. Left/right imbalances can be secondary to pulse moving left or right.
Try with needle on suspect channel luo point.
Continue to other channels with imbalance, until they feel balanced using luo points.
Use the Yuan point if the luo is not enough.
If there is still no change then start sedating the luo and yuan points on excess side.
If it is still not balanced, sedate the excess, and tonify the deficiency on
If not try to tonify back shu on the deficient side.
If not correcting, try sedation on the excess side.
Most treatments are resolved by tonifying the Luo and yuan on deficient side.
*Caution using the method on feet with patients with diabetic neuropathy
Start left side on men and right side on women.
If multiple meridians then choose the major one first based on their constitution: Earth, metal, Water, Wood, fire
example earth type (SP/ST) work on SP and ST channels
Based on injury area: low back, use the BL meridian, or channel of that location.
Calming the mindPeople “in their head” relaxation becomes impossible. No room for meditation and contemplation.
Heart kidney axis restoration.
Jing well and jing spring points.
Distal BL66 and local BL2 with Yintang
Distal GB43 with local GB4 and Du20

Nervous system: Bladder channel as related to Tai yang. Longest channel, sciatic longest nerve,
afferent and efferent innervation of spinal cord
Water points on the yang channels have a cooling and calming quality on the mind.
BL66 water horary point on the Tai yang best for quieting the nervous system.
TreatmentPairing BL66 with another 5-element point: example: obsessive person is earth type patient. BL66 with ST44
The choose point on the head: above example earth: ST8
Then use yintang at the end. “point of visions of the sages that rolls duality back to the one”. Mingtang “illuminated palace”.
Du20 can be added for its effect in centering the mind and draining destabilizing influence of wind.
Caution: use small needles, retain 20 to 40 minutes.
Clearing blockages with herbsPhelgm, damp, pathological heat, internal wind, stagnant Qi and congealed blood will
obscure fundamental relationships of Shen, Qi, jing and later heaven (post heaven)

Shen and heart importanceHeart is emperor, if emperor is not at peace at home then the nation is not in harmony.
Heart is the foundation of insight and understanding of self and life. Heartbeat is momentary presence.
Changes in heart and pulse result in struggling to rule efficiently according to principles of WuWei.
First order of business is to stabilize heart. Previous methods: umbilical pulse, draining AE, ect and help pulse.
Can treat source on any constitutional meridian can assist as well.
Spirit block and Nourishing destinyPatients’ progression in life is limited by some clouded aspect of spirit that can be cleared by treating right acupoints.
Practitioners need to treat the patient’s spirit, how illness is an expression of the ego’s personalization of thoughts and feelings.
Self-image can grow and smother spirit. Treating the spirit block can provide important motivation for only choosing actions
Treating spirit block can provide important motivation for choosing actions that express the evolutionary movement of spirit.
In this way stagnation can be broken as we generate a positive momentum in life and cease the creation of karma.
Structural blocksStructural alignment of the skeletal system can prevent progress in treatment. Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, Zero balancing.
ScarsScars that cross a channel. Use exit/entry points for this.
LifestyleAbusive relationships vs healthy sexuality
Addictions: sex, gambling, food, drugs, alcohol, etc.
Exposure to toxic chemicals, metals, at work or home
$ basic areas of Life: quality of food, air, water and sleep.
Cardiovascular exercise.
Relationships of work and family.
Dependence on illnessPatients are not willing to “Let go” of it. Holding on as a form of “sympathy” from others. Failing to change their situation.
